The Ronald McDonald House of Danville is hosting the 31st Annual Andrew Schmid Golf Tournament on Thursday, June 9th at the Frosty Valley Country Club. Visit www.rmhdanville.org for a registration packet.

A Drive Thru Only Chicken BBQ will be held on Saturday, May 28th from 4 till 6 p.m. at St. John’s United Methodist Church in Dewart.   The cost is $10 for the meal which includes chicken, baked beans, cole slaw, a baked potato and cookies or  $5 for chicken only or children’s portion.  Pre-orders are recommended by calling 570-538-1541. The church is located at 49 River Road.

Join Cornerstone Christian Fellowship for a musical and video concert on Saturday, May 28th as they commemorate all who have served our great country. The concert will honor those who have served with a special feature on Medal of Honor winners. Retired Army colonel Senator Doug Mastriano will be the guest speaker. Cornerstone Christian Fellowship is located just west of Lewisburg on Rt. 45.  The concert begins at 5pm with the free café opening at 4pm.  Parking and admission are also free.

Birthright of Sunbury will hold a Yard Sale on Thursday June 2nd from 1 till 5 p.m. and Friday June 3rd from 11 a.m. till ?? The sale will be held in the Community Room on the bottom floor of the Degenstein Library on South 5th street.

Calvary Baptist Church Community Puzzle Swap will be held on June 4th from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Bring as many puzzles as you want, swap them for anything you see that interests you, just be sure to take as many (or more than) you brought. Over 500 puzzles to choose from. The church is located at 332 East Chestnut Street in Mifflinburg.

Goodwill Hose Company will hold their annual Chicken BBQ on Sunday June 5th starting at 11am – Scott and Glenda’s homemade ice cream will also have a stand set up. The fire company is located at 537 Center Street in Danville.

The Sugar Valley Church of the Brethren will be having a drive thru Pulled Pork Dinner on Saturday, June 11th from 4 till 6 p.m. at 2305 East Winter Road in Loganton. Meals will include a pork sandwich, macaroni salad, baked beans, cole slaw and a monster cookie for dessert! Cost for the meal is by donation…All meals will be drive thru only -no dining in.

Trinity Pro Cathedral in Williamsport will hold a Strawberry Festival on Sunday June 12th from 11:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.    There will be sandwiches, hot dogs, baked beans, strawberry shortcake and stuff to drink. The Bald Eagle Art show will also be taking place across the street. The church is located on West 4th street.

Grace Baptist Church will be having VBS, June 12th through the 16th from 6 till 8 P.M. for Grades Kindergarten through 6th. The church is located at 8704 Route 104 in Mount Pleasant Mills.

Sound of the Gospel Church will be holding Bible School Zoomerang for ages three through 12 beginning on Wednesday June 15th and continuing through June 19th from 6 till 8:30 p.m. each evening. The church is located at 50 Gospel Way, Park Road in Selinsgrove.

Christ Wesleyan Theatre Productions will present “Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express” June 16th and 17th at 7 p.m. and June 18th at 2 p.m.  All seating is general admission first come first served.  For tickets log on to cwtheatre.org. The church is located at 363 Stamm Road in Milton.

Mark and Ruth Nissley will be performing at the Boyer Mennonite Church in Middleburg on Tuesday June 21st at 6:45 p.m. A love offering will be received. The church is located at 1472 West Ridge Road.   

Wild West VBS will be held at First Christian Church in Montoursville June 23rd and 24th from 6 till 8:30 p.m. and June 25th from 9 till 11:30 a.m. Children ages kindergarten through 6th grade are welcome. To pre register call 570-368-3101. The church is located at 5329 Lycoming Mall Drive.

Prophet and Evangelist Denny Cramer will be speaking at Brooksides Ministries Church in Shamokin Dam on Saturday June 25th at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday June 26th at 10:30 a.m.

Zoomerang VBS will be held at Ebenezer Faith Bible Church June 26th through the 30th from 6 till 8:15 p.m.    Children ages 3 through 8th grade are invited to attend.
