The Women’s Center, inc. is one of nearly 300 domestic violence organizations across the country participating in the 2018 Allstate Foundation Purple Purse Challenge, which runs through October 31st. The fundraiser helps state and local domestic violence organizations deal with funding gaps. Funds raised by participating nonprofits will go toward providing life-changing services for survivors and their families. Revival Services will be held October 14th, 15th, and 16th, 7 pm at Hummels United Methodist Church, 427 Sassafras Road, Middleburg. Chosen Road, a blue grass Christian band from West Virginia, will be providing music and Evangelist Michael Moore will be speaking. There will be a Pig Roast Sunday the 14th at 4 pm. The Westminster College Chamber Choir and Faculty Brass Quintet will be at Grove Presbyterian Church, Danville, on Monday, October 15th at 7 pm. The concert is free, and light refreshments will follow. A freewill offering will be received to defray the choir’s expenses.

You are invited to the Lewisburg Bible Church for a Prophecy Conference with Mitch Triestman from the Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry. The National Christian College Fair will be held at Meadowbrook Christian School on Wednesday, October 17th from Noon to 2 pm. College representatives from many of the top Christian colleges in the nation will be available in the school gymnasium. A financial aid workshop will also be available at 1 pm. A Winter Clothing Drive, for survivors of abuse and other difficult circumstances, will be held October 18th from 10 am. to 7 pm, at the English Garden in Riverside. Some of the items will be dispersed locally and others will be given to an organization in Lancaster County that shelters survivors of human trafficking. Items they are looking for include: Gently used and freshly laundered, Women’s sweaters, leggings, coats, and winter boots, also children’s boots. There is also a need for new Women’s and children’s winter socks and Women and girl’s tights. For more information visit

Furmano Foods will host a Tomato Trot 5K Run, Walk and Kid’s Fun Run on Saturday, October 20th at 10 a.m. The 2018 Tomato Trot will be held at Furmano Foods in Northumberland and will benefit Expectations Women’s Center. Child Evangelism Fellowship of Snyder and Union Counties will be having its annual Ministry Banquet at Christ Community United Methodist Church, Selinsgrove. The Mifflinurg Area Aglow Lighthouse will meet Saturday, October 27th, at the Mifflinburg Assembly of God Church. Gwen Mouliert, author, pastor, evangelist and teacher, from Pomona, New Jersey, will be the speaker. Light snacks will be at 6 pm with the meeting to follow at 6:30 pm. The musical group Re-Creation will Honor Veterans on November 11th, 9:30 am. at the Mooresburg Presbyterian Church at 21 Church Drive Danville. The Danville American Legion Honor Guard will present a 21 Gun Salute. Child Evangelism Fellowship of Eastern PA, invites you to join them in celebrating their 80th Anniversary on Friday, November 16th at the Evangelical Free Church of Hershey.
