Sunbury Bible Church will hold a Christmas Tree Lighting along with special Family activities on Saturday, December 5th from 5 till 8 p.m. There will be Live music, Coffee, Cookies, take home treats and more. The church is located on Route 11 across from the UPS building near Northumberland.

 

Southside Fire Company in Riverside is selling Christmas trees. Hours are Thursday and Friday from 4:30 till 7 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. till 7 p.m. and Sunday Noon till 5 p.m. The fire company is located at 270 Ave D.

 

Strawberry Ridge United Church of Christ will hold a Clothing Giveaway from 9 AM to 1 PM on Saturday, December 12th. A large selection of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing will be provided including skirts, dresses, slacks, jeans, shirts, shoes, boots and coats. Some items are new, others are slightly used, and most are ready to wear. The giveaway will also feature a limited number of bed sheets, blankets, and home and Holiday items. There will also be a limited number of toys for younger children from families with a need. The church is located 850 Cardinal Road, Danville near the Washingtonville Power Plant.

 

You’re invited to worship with us at Penn View Bible Institute, December 10, 11, and 12 @ 7:00 PM, as we celebrate Christ’s birth in this year’s Christmas musical, “Searching for the King.” Come enjoy an evening of music, pageantry, and drama as combined choirs, orchestra, and actors unite to honor the Savior’s birth. The Improved Milton Experience has canceled the 2020 Christmas Season Open House of the Milton Model Train Museum due to Covid 19 concerns. Officials said that it was a hard decision to make but with the recent rise in numbers they want to do their part to help keep people safe. They want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and look forward to seeing you next year.

 

This year, Mifflinburg Church of the Nazarene’s Christmas Celebration will include an Outdoor Bazaar and will be held December 10th and 11th from 3 till 9 p.m. and December 12th from 9 a.m. till 9 p.m. There will be local arts, crafts and food vendors, a Christmas tree lighting event, live nativity and more. The church is located at 12 Market Street.

 

Marsha Hubler, local best-selling author of the Keystone Stables Series, will be at the Bible Depot, Sunbury, on December 10th from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. She will be introducing her new Tommi Pockets series, book one and two. She will also be at the Guardian Angel Book Store in Richfield, at noon on Saturday, December, 12th for a “Meet and Greet the Authors” luncheon with two other local authors.

 

The Annual Live Nativity will be held at Middlecreek Farms December 17th through the 19th. Hours are Thursday and Friday from 6 till 9 p.m. and Saturday from 5 till 9 p.m. New this year will be a heated and sheltered area for people to wait until their ride to the barn. The live nativity is located just off Route 522 at 134 Farmhause Road in Middleburg. For those who can’t visit the nativity in person – there will be an online nativity experience on their webpage at 7 p.m. on Saturday the 19th. Go to www.beavertownchurch.com.
