CANCELED – The Benton Annual Concert in the Park scheduled for Sunday, August 19th in Benton Community Park on Park Street has been canceled due to the flooding.

Redeemer Orthodox Presbyterian Church, Danville, will hold a Giveaway Event, Saturday, August 18th, 1 to 4 pm. A wide array of gently used chothes, toys, household items and furniture will be given away. A Rita’s truck will also give out free Italian ice all afternoon. Children’s activities will include games and face painting. Redeemer Church is located in the former Elks building along Route 11, Danville.

Special speaker, Mr. Kim Yarger will be at Hillside Bible Church on Sunday, August 19th during Sunday School at 9:15 AM and the 10:30 morning worship service. The church is located at 1650 Centennial Road, Mifflinburg.

Saint Peter’s United Church of Christ, Paxinos, is holding a Church Yard Sale. The sale will be held, rain or shine, Saturday, August 25th from 8 am to 1 pm. Lunch will be available from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. All items AND lunch are by donation. Nothing has a price tag. The Campus Theater at 413 Market Street, Lewisburg, will be showing the Orthodox Christian Documentary “Becoming Truly Human” on Saturday, August 25th at 1 p.m. Admission is free. For information see

Kidszone” a free community event for your kids, will be held Saturday, August 25th, 1 to 4 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church, Selinsgrove. There will be an Obstacle Course, Bounce House, Pony Rides, and an Illusion Show. The church is located at 56 Abbey Road.

Sunday, August 26th is Bring Your Tractor To Church day at Buffalo Mennoniate Church, Lewisburg. Tractor Registration is 8:30 to 10 am – Church Service at 10:30 am – Pulled Pork and Homemade Ice Cream will be available at 12:15 with the Tractor Drive and Hay Ride to follow. Christ Wesleyan Theatre Productions will present “Mary Poppins: The Broadway Musical” on Thursday, September 6th at 7 pm, Friday, September 7th at 7 pm, Saturday, September 8th at 2 and 7 pm, and Sunday, September 9th at 2 pm. GriefShare will begin Monday, September 10th, 1:30 to 3 p.m. at Emmanuel Bible Fellowship Church at 967 Mile Hill Road, Sunbury. The group will meet every Monday through December 10th.
