Rep. Lynda Schlegel Culver invites all those involved in the agriculture industry throughout Northumberland and Snyder counties to her annual Farmers Breakfast. The event will be held Friday, Feb. 22, at 9 a.m. at Christ Community United Methodist Church, located on Park Road, in Selinsgrove. The Columbia Montour Chapter of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowhip will meet on Saturday February 23rd at 10 a.m. at Spirit Life Church on Old Berwick road. The speaker will be the new President Fred Guzewich. There will be free snacks and coffee.

Volunteers from Mostly Mutts, a no-kill animal shelter in Sunbury, will hold a “meet and greet” on Saturday, February 23rd, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at PetSmart, Monroe Marketplace. Volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and introduce several dogs available for adoption. (570-988-6483)

Countering the Mass Shooter Threat, PREPARED! A Church Safety & Security Seminar by Ron Anderson is coming to Danville First Baptist Church. The Buffalo Valley Church of the Brethren Auction will be held Saturday, March 2nd You may preview items starting at 3:30 p.m. with silent auction items open and live bidding beginning at 4 p.m. You can look through the order of sale and review the hundreds of items. Meadowbrook Christian School will present the broadway musical “Little Women” on March 7th and 8th at 7 p.m. and March 9th at 2 and 7 p.m. Tickets may be purchased online through the schools website or by calling the school at 570-742-2638. The Coffman family, from Kentucky, will be singing on Friday, March 8th, 7 pm at Stony Run Mission, 2825 Evendale Road, McAlisterville. A freewill offering will be received.

Hope’s Haven will host a benefit auction on Saturday, March 9th at Reigles Bible Fellowship Church near Millersburg. The Federated Missionary Society of Montour County will hold their annual Lenten Teas starting on Wednesday March 13th at 1:30 p.m. with the World Day of Prayer at Pine Street Lutheran Church in Danville. The program will be about the women of Slovenia. The event is open to both men and women.

The Richfield Evangelical Methodist Youth group will hold a benefit auction on Saturday, March 16th, 9 am, at the Fremont Fire Hall in Mt. Pleasant Mills.

A Chicken & Waffles dinner will be held March 16th, beginning at 1 pm, at Strawberry Ridge United Church of Christ, 850 Cardinal Road, near Washingtonville PPL plant. Children under 6 eat free and takeouts available. There will also be a Chinese Auction.
