Benton’s Ninth Annual Concert in the Park will be held on August 20th at 5:30 p.m. The featured group this year is “The Nelons”, with tight family harmonies, timeless songs and a passion for worship. The Nelons have been captivating audiences for four decades, standing on the legacy of founder and patriarch Rex Nelon. A pre-concert by “Raven Creek” will be held at 4:30 p.m. They entertain with gospel-Bluegrass, once a month at the Community Center in Jerseytown.

Faith Christian Fellowship invites all kids ages 3 through the 6th grade to a week of Vacation Bible School, June 26th through the 30th beginning at 6:30 each evening. The church is located at 12 North Creamery Avenue in Middleburg, behind Dunkin Donuts.

Grace Chapel will hold Vacation Bible School “Getting S’more of Jesus” from June 26th to the 29th, from 6 to 8 PM for Ages 4 years – 6th Grade. Kids will trek through an outdoor adventure, kindle friendships and discover that Jesus is the light of the world. Call 570-648-0372 for more information.

Bloomsburg Christian Church will be hosting Child Evangelism Fellowship’s 5 Day Club: “Knowing Christ”. The 5-day program will be held June 26th through the 30th from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The program is completely free and a snack will be available each night. The Thomas Beaver Library, Danville announces Activities: Play Mahjongg on Mondays from 1 to 3 p.m. Beginners welcome, boards provided/ Music and Movement for Toddlers on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m./ Adult Coloring Club on Tuesdays from 2 to 3 p.m. all supplies provided./ Thursday Morning Preschool Story Time at 10:45 a.m. All programs take place in the Peters’ Community Room.

Child Evangelism Fellowship of Snyder and Union Counties will be hosting their Camp Good News Day Camp for Union County, July 10th through the 14th at the Mifflinburg Intermediate School. The Tri-County ABATE will hold its 2nd Annual Christmas in July Toy Run on Saturday, July 15th. Registration is from 10 to 11:45 a.m. at the Catawissa Cracker Barrel. The Coller Family Band will entertain, Tuesday, August 8th, 7 p.m. at Danville Memorial Park.

“Harbor Light” will be in concert, August 13th, 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 114 Queen Street, Northumberland.

Danville’s summer concert series will end Tuesday, August 15th, 7 p.m. with The West Branch Barbershop Chorus in Memorial Park.

The American Legion Post 40, Danville, will have a Pig Roast, Saturday, August 19th from 3 to 7:30 p.m. The event is open to the pu,blic.

Teenage (Mothers of Preschoolers) meet at the Pregnancy Care Center on Market Street, Shamokin, on the first and third Mondays at 4 p.m. All pregnant women and moms up to age 21 are invited to join for fun, fellowship, and mutual support.
